Get in the Savings Game

Just like playing a sport, learning to save money takes practice. Join the savings team! By teaching kids how to save for their goals, they'll have one of the most difficult aspects of saving under their belt by the time they're teens-being a consistent saver.
Join us this year as we celebrate National Credit Union Youth Month in April. For any new account opened by a youth in the month of April, DECU will make the $25 initial deposit and there will be a special May kids club and teen club drawing for a $100 savings bond for each club. Also in celebration of Youth Month, all new kids club or e.t.c members that make a deposit will be entered into a national drawing. On May 5, 2010, the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) will randomly select and give ten (10) $100 awards to 10 participating credit unions! DECU winners will be notified some time after May 15.
The National Youth Saving Challenge is open to all youth under 18. While youth are encouraged to make a deposit, no deposit is required. Those parents/guardians giving permission for their youth to enter can submit on a 3" x 5" piece of paper with the following information to DECU: name, date and current age (limit one entry per person).
