"Working for DECU has been an honor for so many reasons. I have built many lasting relationships with not only my coworkers, but many of our members! DECU provides many opportunities to excel in any direction you choose. From working the front line to working in the back office, DECU truly does promote mutual success between employees and our members. DECU not only goes above and beyond to make life simple for our members, but also encourages success with employees. The leadership of our management unselfishly thinks of the safety of all employees at all times. Their compassion and understanding is amazing! DECU is constantly involved in the community and gives all of us a chance to volunteer at numerous events and outings. Amazing coworkers and members and loving my job is what has made it easy for me to come to work everyday for the 6 years that I have been here. I couldn't imagine working anywhere else! "The atmosphere at DECU is welcoming and inclusive. I stay here because the changes that are implemented from HR and the CEO are employee oriented. I have never felt like DECU has made changes that deliberately makes employees feel unappreciated or their jobs harder 'for the sake of the company.' Helping people save money and watching them get into better financial positions is what I love most about my job. I am proud to work here because DECU uses old values. "I enjoy working for DECU because they really value their employees and have gone out of their way to accommodate with me still working at the CC but being able to work at the Forsyth branch to make things work out easier with my drive time from Maroa to Decatur. I love the coworkers that I work with; we are a great team and we all get along and all have the same mindset on helping our members when they need it the most. I have always been in the financial world and its my passion to help people understand how finances work! I love when we are able to help lower a rate on a loan or save the member a lot of interest for the life of the loan and put them in a better position to set themselves up for success when its comes to their credit score. I believe that DECU has a lot of good options and resources to offer members that need loans! I love that DECU really puts themselves out and made known in the community and that is a huge deal!... When I am around other people in public and we get to talking about loans or Mortgages or just anything in general I like to let them know what my job is and how I could help them if they need anything... it makes me feel good when i can assist and get them in their dream car or if they need help to consolidate bills to make it easier on them financially, its just a good feeling to have when they are thankful for our help. I stay employed with DECU because I enjoy my job and at times it can be stressful but in the end it is very rewarding!"
